Class IV Montreal River, WI/MT
Montreal River Canyon (Below Saxon Falls to Highway 122)
Ranges from wavy areas to rapids and ledges with numerous holes. At high water levels, a few drops and long pitches rate Class IV, forming large haystacks and wave trains. Sheer conglomerate walls reach heights of up to 300 feet above the river.
