Bobcat-Houlihan to Buffalo Bill Reservoir

The South Fork Shoshone River begins its journey from the Fremont County/Park County boundary high in the Absaroka Mountains draining north into Buffalo Bill Reservoir. The BLM administers a handful of parcels along the South Fork, all of which offers fishing opportunities, and other dispersed recreational opportunities.

Notes The South Fork has very low flows most of the year and has a lot of private lands with limited BLM Access. The South Fork is only really floatable during spring run off for a 3–6-week period for rafts.
