Class I Sawyer Lake, NC

Green Trail (Sawyer Lake to Milltail Creek)

Paddling is one of the best ways to experience Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge has 15+ miles of color-coded paddling trails, so it's easy to download a map and explore on your own. Or, you may register for a guided canoe tour during June, July and August of each year. (U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service)
