Class I Whitewater River, MN

Whitewater River State Water Trail

The Whitewater River meanders through the bottomlands of the Whitewater Wildlife Management Area, and the upper part is a designated trout steam. There are no campsites or rest areas, and users should be sensitive to the ecological integrity of the river. The lower stretch of the river between the towns of Beaver and Weaver is not suitable for novice paddlers because of the many trees and occasional log jams. There are no major rapids.
